Today’s Small School Gem spotlight goes to Illinois State OL Hunter Zambrano.

Hunter plays left tackle for the Redbirds but to me best projects at offensive guard for his size, upper body strength, and athleticism better project him there. I think Zambrano could be an immediate target in the right situation to serve as a swing guard and provide depth and value as he further develops his body and skillset.

It’s easy to see why people I’ve spoken with are enamored with him – with another step in the right direction this season, Zambrano could easily be a draft pick.
