Mason Graham has the tools to be a force of nature in the NFL for years to come. Both a two-gap and gap shooter, Graham lines up in just about any tech and plays it effectively. He was a wrestler in High School, a Trinity League Champion as a high school sophomore before turning his focus entirely on football. While his pass rush production could have been better (nine sacks over three years), he’s a force against both the run and pass. He projects very well to the NFL level.

DT Mason Graham, Michigan

Pros:

  • Fairly quick feet.
  • Solid lateral quickness. Good stunter.
  • Tends to gain command from a strong first step.
  • Excellent upper body strength.
  • Flashes the ability to split double teams and impact the play in the backfield.
  • Strong hands. Disengages from blocks well.
  • Good, strong wrap up tackler.
  • Capable instincts.

Cons:

  • Won’t chase well, limited long speed.
  • Lower body still has room to develop.
  • Looks like he lacks some length that hurts his hand attack arsenal.

Projection: First Round

Projected Role: 4/3 Immediate Starter/High End Rotational Player
